A History-Making Coalition
by Charles W. Fairbanks
In political campaigns there have always been coalitions to support the candidate: “Veterans for McCain”, “Democrats for McCain” or “Women for McCain”, just to name a few. Where Republican women have always stepped up to form “Women for ----” groups. Now it is time for men of all political persuasions to join the history making group, Men for Palin.
My wife and I witnessed history three weeks ago when we saw Senator McCain introduce Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to an eager nation. Senator McCain made history that Friday by choosing a dynamic American woman to serve as his vice presdient. For the past three weeks, Governor Palin has made history. She changed the dynamic of the 2008 presidential race immediately, like no other Vice Presidential candidate in the history of the republic. Because of Governor Palin’s conservative credentials, the conservative base returned home to rally around the McCain-Palin ticket. Because of her strong example women of all political persuasions returned to the party of Reagan in droves.
Kathy and I were profoundly moved when we watched Sarah Palin enter the national stage.
Sarah Palin is a dynamic American woman who has balanced family, marriage, faith and career. Dynamic women have made America great, from the frontier women of the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries to the sophisticated business leaders of the twenty-first. My wife is a dynamic woman. She is a lawyer, mother, wife and active community volunteer. She served as only the second female judge in the history of our county. She speaks three foreign languages, and has done business in almost every country in Europe.
Like Sarah Palin, my wife represents the 21st century brand of American women. It was no accident that I married such a woman because my mother, too is a multi-faceted go-getter. And the tradition continues with our daughter, who is an honor-roll student and all-conference athlete with super model looks.
And behind every great woman, there is a great man. Or in this case, behind a history-making woman, there is a coalition of men. That’s where “Men for Palin” comes in. We are a traditional coalition, except that we are completely independent from the McCain campaign. It is our goal to have Men for Palin chapters in all fifty states, the District of Columbia and the territories to do the hard grassroots work of getting her elected.
This blog is the fun part. It will be informative, backed by something that is rare in politics today - painstaking research. Because when the facts are laid out on the table, there is only one possible choice - McCain/Palin. Join “Men for Palin” today.

“Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them.”
Hon. Ronald Reagan, 40th President of the United States
