In this section, MFP explains why Sarah Palin is the best choice to lead our nation right now, and for the future.

“Sarah Palin talking . . . to jubilant overflow crowds . . .  I hear the voice of America . .”

THEOLOGIAN MICHAEL NOVAK’S THOUGHTFUL, INSPIRING ARTICLE ON GOV. SARAH PALIN:

LISTENING TO SARAH”, by Michael Novak, Author and Theologian (from National Review Online)

Michael Novak, a former Board Member of Radio Liberty/Radio Free Europe, who has served both Democrat and Republican Presidents, sounds in this article like he could almost be describing Ronald “Dutch” Reagan, the All-American boy who grew up in the middle of Iowa, and then brought his clear voice and common-sense plain-spoken message to us, straight from the heartland of America.

Some Quotes:

“Every time I hear Sarah Palin talking — more and more to jubilant overflow crowds — I hear the voice of America speaking.”

“Without question, Sarah Palin has the best natural sense of humor and happy disposition of any of the four top candidates. She is, by far, the happiest warrior among today’s front four. Not a bad endowment for a vice president.”

“Sarah Palin does not diss America in the way that candidate Obama seems to do quite naturally . .  .  Sarah’s goal is not to make America into another Western Europe. Her goal is to reform America on the model of the original American vision, which where she comes from is still so close you can almost touch it.”

“By contrast with Sarah, one theme ties together everything Barack and Michelle Obama have long been about: They often diss America implicitly and explicitly. They used to hang out with people who diss America. They want to change the America they are not proud of into a different sort of nation: a European social democracy. They admire European health care, tax policy, and micro-regulation. They share Europe’s cultivated dissing of business, enterprise, initiative, and hard work.”

“These are the choices we Americans will be facing, next Tuesday. Barack Obama is calling us toward Europe; Sarah Palin is calling us back, to what’s best in our own American tradition.”

Who’s Got the Better Veep Candidate Now, Huh?

by Charles W. Fairbanks

imageThe great Joe Biden is having a horrible week. Biden was elected to the County Legislature at age 27, to the United States Senate at age 29, has served in the U.S. Senate for the past 36 years, and has basically never held a real job in his entire adult life. Heck even the famous “Kate’s Restaurant” which Joe touted in the Palin-Biden Debate as his one case of supposedly staying in touch with average folks, actually closed down 20 years ago, so how frequently does good old Joe Biden really drop in at his so-called favorite neighborhood restaurant?  Gee, Joe’s last visit must have been prior to 1988!  Real frequent customer, huh?  Sen. Biden’s being almost completely out of touch with the real world shows on occasion, none more so than this past week.  Sen. Biden stuck his foot so deep into his mouth that they are tasting it down at ACORN headquarters.  Meanwhile, Gov. Palin, the allegedly inexperienced “Caribou Barbie”, is having a week that would have made Ronald Reagan proud, barnstorming the country to overflow crowds, and giving dynamic speeches at every stop. Hey guys, who has the better Veep candidate now?

It has long been said that Senator Biden suffers from foot-in-mouth disease, that he is the Guru of Gaffes.  Well, this week he has committed a doozy.  Speaking to a fundraiser, he was a little too frank.  He said:

“It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking.... Watch, we’re gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy . . . . I can give you at least four or five scenarios from where it might originate … And he’s gonna need help. And the kind of help he’s gonna need is, he’s gonna need you - not financially to help him - we’re gonna need you to use your influence, your influence within the community, to stand with him. Because it’s not gonna be apparent initially, it’s not gonna be apparent that we’re right.” (Emphasis added by MFP editor.)

It is crystal clear what AMTRAK Joe meant.  The Republic is on the verge of electing a neophyte president, one whom an enemy will test in a very dangerous way.  The emphasized sentence is actually scary.  What does he mean?  Does he mean that Israel will be attacked and we will not respond militarily?  Does he mean that we would not respond forcefully if Russia pulled the tanks into another neighbor?  Very scary stuff.  Big Mac has been making hay on the Biden gaffe for the past two days.  The exposure from the gaffe is significant.  And according to the Rush Limbaugh radio show, Biden is spending the day on the bench, not on the trail.

Then there is Governor Palin.  When she appeared on “Saturday Night Live,” she drew the largest audience that program has seen in fourteen years.  She has played to overbooked crowds in New Mexico and Nevada.  She has thrown off the chains and has started giving interviews on the campaign trail.  Even the New York Times has taken notice.

In her October 20, 2008 Political Memo, Times columnist Julie Brosnan observed that, “Gov. Sarah Palin seems like a candidate trying to wriggle free of her handlers,” and reported that one of her colleagues felt that Gov. Palin was evolving “from one of the least accessible to the most accessible of the four candidates.” From the New York Times, that is a rave!

So now we have Joe Biden, who is a liability for his ticket, and Sarah Palin, who is the number one asset of the Republican ticket.  What do you know about that?

LINK: “WELL, THANKS FOR THE WARNING, JOE!” Sarah Palin tackes this issue head on, in what may be her very best speech of the campaign so far! Yes, even MSNBC can no longer ignore Governor Palin’s best speeches.  Click on this amazing video; Sarah Palin methodically destroys Obama-Biden on this issue, point by point. This is a dynamite speech.  She’s ready to lead!  (This is the kind of dynamic speechmaking that enormous crowds are hearing in cities across America on the “Sarah Palin Road to Victory” tour—see the Men for Palin exclusive on this website: “What It’s Really Like to Attend a Sarah Palin Rally") Listen to Governor Sarah Palin’s speech on “OBAMA’S LOOMING CRISIS”, as she methodically details Crisis Scenario #1, Crisis Scenario #2, Crisis Scenario #3, Crisis Scenario #4, and Crisis Scenario #5!  Sarah’s prediction of what will be “Crisis Scenario #5” may be the best of all. HERE IT IS, PURE DYNAMITE.  ENJOY:
