WHAT’S IT REALLY LIKE TO ATTEND A “SARAH PALIN ROAD TO VICTORY RALLY”?”

Our MFP associate in New Mexico is no stranger to political rallies.  Our young friend was in the fourth row for Governor Palin’s huge rally at Roswell, NM.  According to him, the Roswell rally was exactly what you would envision if you were making a movie.  Based on his experience, MFP would like you to see inside a typical Sarah Palin Rally.

All of us have been reading about Governor Palin’s awesome crowds, as she barnstorms across America with her “Sarah Palin Road to Victory” Rallies in cities across the USA.  In city after city across America, virtually the entire city shuts down for a day to come out and hear Sarah Palin.  (See the Men for Palin website exclusive story, Who Draws Bigger Crowds?)

Did you ever wish you could experience the excitement of a Sarah Palin campaign appearance, sort of get the flavor of what it’s like to be there?  Well, if she is coming within a couple of hours drive of your home, we urge you to attend any Sarah Palin rally you can get to! 

In the meanwhile, here’s more of the report from our college student out in New Mexico, with some GREAT video links!  This will give you a real taste of what a Sarah Palin rally is all about, straight from the heartland of America!

Here’s more of the report from our college student, who was right in the front rows of what the Associated Press estimated as 20,000 people at Governor Palin’s campaign rally on October 19 in Roswell, NM (a city of only 45,000 people, which virtually shut down for Palin’s appearance).

“Governor Palin’s jet taxied right up to the hangar and stopped only about a hundred yards away, as the crowd went crazy, waving American flags and chanting U-S-A! U-S-A!  [see LINK #1 below]

“Then Sarah Palin walked through the wildly cheering crowd, shaking hands all the way, passing about ten feet away from me (I was right near the front of the 20,000 people who came).  [see LINK #2 below]

“Maybe the most impressive part of the whole day was right at the start.  Governor Palin finally quieted down the cheering crowd, then she introduced Hank Williams Jr. to lead us all in the National Anthem before she let any political speeches start.  Then every single person in the crowd took off their cowboy hats or their baseball caps and put their hats or hands over their hearts, and all 20,000 people actually joined in and sang the National Anthem together.  It was an incredible thrill, it just gave you the shivers to be standing there and joining that patriotic crowd!  Lots of little kids were sitting on their Dad’s shoulders, and lots of Moms were holding up their little girls to see somebody who will be our first female Vice President of the United States.  You could just tell you were a witness to history.  It was awesome.” [See LINK #3 below]

So there you have it folks, a report from a college student who experienced a real old-fashioned, straight from the heartland, patriotic American rally for Sarah Palin and the McCain-Palin ticket!

The thrill of the Palin rally is not just the patriotism, the music and the drama. It is much, much more. Governor Palin beautifully lays out a plan for America and exposes the Obama-Biden proposals for what they are:  More big government non-solutions that hurt the middle class.

LINK #4: GOVERNOR SARAH PALIN ON THE ISSUES: The Roswell Palin Rally was not just cheering and chanting and patriotic songs.  There was also plenty of “meat and potatoes”, as Governor Palin educated the crowd with issues analysis, policy points, and substance.  As just one example, here is a link to “Professor” Palin dissecting the Obama Tax-Hike Plan and completely exposing its flaws with simple logic and down home Reagan-like common sense (not to mention more than a touch of Reagan-like charisma!) Governor Palin has the crowd in the palm of her hand as she logically destroys the Obama Tax-Hike Plan in a devastating 1 minute and 22 second analysis.  Considering that the Presidential Debate formats typically allowed for only one-minute or two-minute answers, it makes you wish that there would be an Obama-Palin debate.  Governor Palin brilliantly exposes the Obama tax plan in 1 minute, 22 seconds! On the Road to Victory with MFP in Pennsylvania, the Keystone State

One of our MFP associates is on the ground with the McCain-Palin campaign in the key battleground of Pennsylvania.  MFP associate Jerry Weston is now working as a volunteer for McCain and Palin in Pennsylvania, where he has found a very energized campaign and a very personable candidate.

From Jerry:

“I ended up with motorcade duty in PA...actually worked right with Secret Service people, met the McCain plane ON the tarmac in Allentown (see photo above) as it pulled up to the motorcade pool...and “motorcaded” to a rally in Pottsville, PA...nice crowd. Working an event in Hershey tomorrow morning.

Eventhough I was stuck with some snide Press People in my van, it was pretty cool.

As a driver though, I could not go inside. We had to “be at the ready” in case we had to evacuate at a moments notice. I had to be right near the vehicles at all times. I might play hookey one day and hit an event.

Oh yeah, the Staff Photographer took photos of the drivers and Senator McCain after the event. Got to shake his hand, Cindy McCain’s too. Tell you this, he is personable and seriously believes he can still win this. Polls going our way...of course, the latest Obama tape helps.

Oh yeah ...McCain a lot shorter than I thought...”

As to Jerry’s closing comment about Big Mac’s height, I met Jerry in the primary as we worked together tirelessly on the Fred Thompson campaign.  I had always heard that Fred was six-foot-six, but didn’t give it much thought.  Well, when I met Sen. Thompson, I found that he was every bit of six-six.  I think all of us here at MFP think of Big Mac as a tall man, not because of his physical stature but because of his compelling personal journey from a narrow jail cell in the Hanoi Hilton to the doorstep of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Fred and Jeri Thompson have pulled out all the stops for Big Mac.  Jeri Thompson is spearheading Team Sarah, which took off like a skyrocket after her national television appearance.  (Jeri is a dynamic Republican woman who belongs in high office herself!) Fred Thompson has actively campaigned and spread the word about our First Principles through Fred PAC.

We look forward to more from Jerry Weston as the Palin campaign heads to State College PA for a giant super-rally there.

BIDEN LOSES “DEBATE”! Florida TV Anchorwoman absolutely DESTROYS Joe Biden in Live Interview!

This is the interview which many commentators have already labeled the “The Best Joe Biden Interview Ever!” Orlando Florida Channel 9 TV anchorwoman Barbara West stuns Sen. Joe Biden by asking him the plain and direct questions America has been waiting for answers to --- tough, blunt, plainspoken questions like:

“Sen. Biden, aren’t you embarrassed by the blatant attempts by ACORN to register phony voters for you?”
“Isn’t Senator Obama’s tax proposal basically Marxist?”
“Isn’t Senator Obama really proposing to turn the United States into a Socialist nation like Sweden?”

Wow!  Sen. Biden was visibly stunned (imagine that—a member of the media not engaging in a lovefest with the Obama-Biden ticket). Biden looked like was going to fall off his chair! (and now of course the gutsy newswoman is already getting savagely attacked by the Obama campaign—remember how they tore into Joe the Plumber). Click the VIDEO LINK below to see the fireworks! 

I wonder how Joe Biden feels getting the full-fledged Charlie Gibson/Katie Couric attack treatment with two BIG differences: (1) the questions were legitimate questions which Obama and Biden have been ducking for weeks, and (2) Channel 9 TV in Orlando Florida did NOT selectively “edit” the interview like in the networks did with the Gibson and Couric interviews, but broadcast the entire exchange.  (By the way, remember anchorwoman Barbara West in your prayers; the courageous Orlando TV News anchorwoman is already getting savagely attacked by the Obama campaign—remember how savagely Obama went after Joe the Plumber).  West obviously made Biden very uncomfortable—even with Biden’s botoxed face, he looked like he was ready to explode, and not surprisingly, the Obama-Biden campaign has cancelled all further interviews with Orlando Florida TV Channel 9!  You’ve got to see this! Biden was visibly floored to find himself getting asked the kind of questions which the MSM has been avoiding asking for weeks:
