Big Mac gave us the call to stand up for America when he chose Sarah Palin to serve as his Vice President. He gave us the rhetorical call to action when he finished his convention speech with a flourish. It is moving, not because of its artful delivery or its soaring rhetoric. It is moving because behind the words stand a compelling personal journey from a narrow cell in a POW camp in Hanoi to the front doorstep of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC.
