Stand up with the Men for Palin
by TheTruthSquad
We are standing up for America with American Hero John McCain and maverick Sarah Palin. Stand up for America by joining Men for Palin. Contact us by emailing
Big Mac gave us the call to stand up for America when he chose Sarah Palin to serve as his Vice President. He gave us the rhetorical call to action when he finished his convention speech with a flourish. It is moving, not because of its artful delivery or its soaring rhetoric. It is moving because behind the words stand a compelling personal journey from a narrow cell in a POW camp in Hanoi to the front doorstep of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington DC. Hear those words again:

Grassroots Blogger: “Garret A. Hobart”
by Garret A. Hobart
“Garret A. Hobart” is the nom de plume of another of our regular MFP bloggers, who posts as “Garret A. Hobart” and also prepares much of the analysis presented by MFP’s “Truth Squad”. The original Garret A. Hobart was the 24th Vice President of the United States, elected with William McKinley in 1896. He served as Vice President until his untimely death in November 1899. The following year, the vacancy on the ticket was filled when the Republican National Convention nominated New York Governor Theodore Roosevelt for Vice President.
The MFP man behind Garret A. Hobart is another small-town lawyer. He has served as Mayor of his town ("kind of like being a community organizer, but with actual responsibilities”—Gov. Sarah Palin), has served on the staffs of elected officials at the Federal and State levels, and in raising a family has helped to coach his kids’ sports teams, helped lead their Scout troops, and been active in community, church and pro-life activities.

Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.
